The SC redfish are on fire lately. Ben and I finally got to get out Saturday evening, even though evening is not the best time for the bite. We hit a local hot spot us locals like to call "Little River" (deception at work!) and managed two 25" reds in a couple hours in spite of the late hour. Reports are coming in from all over the coast that the reds are even schooled up on the flats if we get a good flood tide - that does not usually happen in SC in the middle of summer. They love to eat the small crabs.
The weather has been exceptionally hot the last three or four weeks, so I have not done much fishing at all. It's just TOO HOT!
We're going ot get ready for shrimp baiting season here soon - I can't wait. This will be the first year I'm going to try it.
Good luck to all, and happy fishing!!!!!!!
Eric
